How the Philippine passport photo process works
A Philippine DFA ePassport photo is 35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm) on a plain white background, built to the ICAO standard: a neutral expression, mouth closed, both eyes open looking straight at the camera, no earrings, and decent clothing. There's a catch most applicants miss: for applications inside the Philippines the photo is captured on-site by DFA encoders, so you don't bring a print. The 35×45 mm photo matters mainly for overseas consular submissions and visa applications.
